Fusion Dance FAQ

FAQ

DO I NEED A PARTNER?

Definitely not! You can learn to dance with or without a partner.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY LESSONS?

Fusion Art and Dance is a very relaxed and fun environment. Come in whatever makes you comfortable. Many of our students come straight from work or from working out, so we tend to have a broad range of attire. Avoid restrictive clothing and shoes that may slip off while dancing (flip-flops, slings, mules, etc)

CAN ANYBODY LEARN TO DANCE?

Yes! Our well-trained instructors are committed to teaching you to dance as quickly as possible. We are convinced that you can learn too!

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO BECOME A GOOD DANCER?

The frequency and consistency of your lessons, how often you practice, and your natural ability are all factors contribute to determining how long it will take to reach your own personal goals. We can generally make a much better assessment after your first lesson.

WHICH DANCES DO YOU TEACH?

We are a ballroom studio, but ballroom is a broad term. It covers everything that is partner-based. This includes traditional ballroom dances such as Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango and Swing. We also teach latin dances like the Rumba, Cha-Cha, Salsa and Merengue. Also, since this is Tennessee and I grew up in Oklahoma, we can’t forget Country and Western favorites such as Two-Step, Shuffle and all the most popular line dances.

WHEN CAN I TAKE MY LESSONS?

Our studio is open Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and  Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our private lessons can be scheduled any time that we’re open and are booked on the hour.
